ABOUT THE CENTER

The Center for Male Reproductive Medicine was established to better diagnose and treat conditions that impact on a man's reproductive and sexual health. The Center offers state of the art technology in a completely private and sensitive environment. The Center was founded by Dr. Cappy Rothman and is under the direction of Dr. Philip Werthman, both specialists in the field of Andrology. Andrology literally means the "study of man," and is a subspecialty within the discipline of Urology. Very few doctors are fellowship trained andrologists and are actually experts in the field of male reproductive medicine.

The Center is equipped with a complete COLA certified andrology laboratory that conveniently enables the diagnosis and treatment of many conditions to be expedited. This also allows patients to observe and participate in their treatment process. With the aid of modern video technology, patients are educated so they can make well-informed choices that are most suited for their individual needs and desires. We encourage inquiries and a physician is always available to promptly and personally respond to calls. The staff has worked together for over 15 years and are sensitive to caring for the special needs of our patients. To date over 20,000 men have been treated at this facility.

The Center is located in Century City, Los Angeles and we have a satellite office in Thousand Oaks, Ventura County. Initial consultations can be scheduled in both of these offices. Surgery is performed at Specialty Surgical Center in Beverly Hills or at the Center. Sperm harvesting procedures can be performed at the IVF center where the egg retrieval will take place in many instances.
