I would like to welcome you to my practice and tell you a little bit about our philosophy and about the vasectomy reversal experience with us. The staff and I realize that the decision to have a vasectomy reversal, and children, are big steps in a couple’s life and can lead to both stress and excitement. I believe that medicine and surgery should be practiced the “old-fashioned” way by giving personal, individualized attention to each couple and spending as much time as needed educating you as patients as to all the possible options, procedures, alternatives and risks regarding vasectomy reversals and other methods of conception. While we perform a high volume of vasectomy reversals every year, we are not “running a mill” and will only schedule one reversal a day so the patient is our sole focus and will get my complete attention. I personally perform your surgery and place every suture myself. I have no interest in using your surgery to train resident physicians, junior partners, or passing your care off to a less experienced associate because I am too busy. All my patients receive both my home and cellular phone numbers after surgery so you can reach me anytime. I will personally call you and check on your recovery after the surgery.

This approach has worked very well for our patients and has resulted in our reputation as the premier place to have a vasectomy reversal. As you perform your research on vasectomy reversals, you will find that you are able to access a tremendous amount of information; some honest and accurate but unfortunately much that is confusing and outright wrong. Doctors and clinics are popping up all over that claim they are experts in performing reversals, from advertising on billboards to websites offering misleading money-back guarantees. It is important for you to be able to filter what you read and educate yourselves so that you make the best choice you can. One of the things I am most grateful for was the opportunity to successfully perform a vasectomy reversal on ABC’s TV show Extreme Makeover. I tell you this not to brag or because I enjoy fame but because watching the show gives you a chance to get to know me and to see the reversal surgery and become familiar with process even before you make an appointment. We will now be doing reversal surgery on network television as well.

I have consciously made an effort to keep the surgical fees reasonable (significantly lower than an IVF cycle and many other clinics that advertise reversals) even though there are surgeons with much less experience and success charging more than twice as much for a reversal. There are also doctors who will perform a non-microsurgical reversal on you in their office for the price of a nice dinner, clearly not a situation that a well-informed patient should be in. I understand that cost is a concern for most people and I want the opportunity of high quality microsurgical vasectomy reversal to be affordable to most couples.
